Chairman has say over Jos at Fans’ Forum

Chairman Dejphon Chansiri told the Fans’ Forum on Wednesday evening that he can’t say how long he will give Jos Luhukay to improve results at Hillsborough.

Replying to a fan’s question about the manager’s future at the club after just one win in 10 games, Mr Chansiri said:  “I can’t say how long I’m going to give him. When I think he can’t do it.

He added: “It is easy to sack a manager. If you bring in a new manager, how do you know he is going to do good?”

The chairman also told the meeting:”We are not going to go down.”

When asked about why senior players such as Sam Hutchinson and Keiren Westwood have not figured in the first team squad this season, Mr Chansiri said it was the coach’s decision and that it was nothing to do with contracts.

Referring to his meeting with the players on Monday, the chairman said: “I told them we need to stick together. When I watch them on the pitch, even when I’m in Thailand watching on the TV, you don’t believe and don’t trust each other.

“We need to stick together and with the coach.”
