Carvalhal bemoans missed chances

Carlos Carvalhal called for Wednesday to be more ruthless in front of goal after we dropped another two points in the Hillsborough clash with Barnsley.

The 1-1 draw leaves us in 16th place, with just one win in the last seven games, and Carvalhal reflected on a match we really should have sewn up in the first 45 minutes, saying: “We were very good in the first half and created a lot of chances – but the difference is the efficiency.

“We make the chances, we must improve the efficiency and then we will win the game.

“In the first half, the performance level was similar to when we beat Leeds a few weeks ago. The difference was making the chances to goals.”
