Lewis Buxton is expected to return to the starting line-up for Wednesday’s home game with Yeovil on Saturday.
Buxton has struggled with a hamstring problem during the early part of the season but Dave Jones has confirmed that the full back is back in training and he is hopeful he will be ready for action against the Glovers.
With Anthony Gardner a long-term injury casualty and Martin Taylor having joined Brentford on a month’s loan, Jones says a loan deal for a central defender is a priority. However, if that fails to progress before the weekend then either Miguel Llera or West Ham loanee Jordan Spence would be expected to slot in alongside Kamil Zayatte.
