Bus to stop at Hillsborough in £375k deal?

Young Romanian striker Sergiu Bus could be Wednesday’s first signing following yesterday’s Thai takeover.

Stuart Gray has confirmed he is trying to bring the CSKA Sofia forward to Hillsborough and reports say the Bulgarian league leaders have accepted a £375,000 bid from Wednesday.

However, Gray played down reports saying that Bus will sign today, explaining that the player has yet to agree personal terms and to have a medical.

He added: “I think someone has jumped the gun a little bit. It’s a case of getting him in the building and subject to agreeing terms and a medical.

“He is a hard-working centre forward who has got an eye for a goal. We are a bit short of them. He’s a hungry boy who wants to come here.”

Bus joined CSKA in the summer from hometown club, Cluj, and scored 10 goals in 18 starts before the winter break, helping them to the top of the Bulgarian A Grupa.
