Bruce ready to make changes against City

Steve Bruce is likely to make changes for our Easter Monday home clash with play-off chasing Bristol City.

Bruce has already indicated that Sam Hutchinson is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring problem at Norwich on Friday night while Cameron Dawson may well keep his place in goal, having replaced Keiren Westwood at Carrow Road when the latter injured a knee in the warm-up.

Gary Hooper is expected to be recalled up front after being rested at Norwich and Barry Bannan could start the game, having come off the bench during the second half against the Canaries.

Injured pair Adam Reach and Rolando Aarons look certain to be absent again while Achraf Lazaar is back in contention after a shoulder injury kept him out of the squad on Friday evening.

Norwich’s 97th minute equaliser all but finished off our slim chance of making the play-offs and we go into the Bristol City game seven points behind sixth-placed Middlesbrough, with only three matches remaining.

Bristol City are a point behind Boro, having played a game less than Tony Pulis’ side.
