Back in relegation zone and one point from safety

With today’s scheduled home game against Swansea postponed due to a frozen pitch, Wednesday dropped back into the Championship relegation places and one point from safety after this afternoon’s results.

Derby moved above us following their win over Middlesbrough, taking them three points clear as we slipped to 22nd on 28 points.

Another defeat for Birmingham sees them remain below us on goal difference, ourselves also having a game in hand, and we are still nine points clear of bottom club Wycombe, despite their win at Huddersfield.

Rotherham, whose game was also postponed today, are immediately outside the relegation zone, one point ahead of us and having played a game fewer.

Coventry’s defeat at Cardiff this afternoon means they sit on 31 points, three ahead of us but we now have a game in hand and there are three sides sitting on 33 points … Forest, QPR and Huddersfield.
