Lewis Buxton should be fit – if selected – for the Owls squad for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Blackpool.
Buxton missed Tuesday’s win at Scunthorpe wth a tight hamstring but Gary Megson said he should be clear for the trip to play Ian Holloway’s Championship oufit. However, with a promotion clash at MK Dons three days later, Megson may be tempted to leave Buxton out of the cup tie.
Miguel Llera and Mike Jones will both miss out as they are cup-tied while Daniel Jones is awaiting a scan on a calf problem after being stretchered off at Glandford Park.
Up front, Megson could also consider fielding Clinton Morrison and Ryan Lowe in place of Gary Madine and Chris O’Grady – again with an eye on the MK trip.
