Dave Jones branded the Blackpool pitch a disgrace after Tuesday evening’s goalless draw.
Talking about the heavily sanded playing surface, Jones said: “It’a absolutely crazy, you’re playing against the pitch as well and it’s an absolute disgrace.”
However, Jones praised both teams for their display on such a pitch. Referring to Wednesday’s performance, he said he thought a point was a fair result after a bright start and added: “It was a well-earned point. This is a difficult place to come to and we did a good, professional job.”
Jones described Steve Howard as “magnificent” up front and said that JJ playing off him poses problems for teams.
