Wednesday are hoping Conor Wickham will be fit to return to action at Charlton on Sunday.
Wickham, whose loan spell runs out at the end of the year, has been struggling with a hamstring injury picked up during the abandoned game with Wigan and has also been linked with a move to Forest after he returns to parent club, Sunderland.
Stuart Gray, while hoping the striker recovers for the Charlton game, also says that the Owls have been in contact with Sunderland about possibly keeping the player into the new year and added that he has been talking with other clubs about further loan options.
