Wednesday wait on Reda and JJ for Ipswich clash

Ipswich Town

Wednesday will be hoping the two Johnsons – Reda and Jermaine – are fit to start in our penultimate home game of the season against Ipswich on Saturday.

Reda missed out at Blackpool on Tuesday because of an ankle injury while JJ was substituted during the second half – partly because of his on-going hamstring problem and also due to the danger of him being sent off after being yellow carded.

Others facing fitness checks include Gary Madine (hamstring), Giles Coke (foot) and Seyi Olofinjana (knee).

Wednesday go into the game knowing that victory would be a massive step towards Championship survival and that a win, coupled wih defeats for Barnsley at Forest and Huddersfield at home to Millwall, would all but ensure safety.

Ipswich look to be just about safe on 56 points, although such has been the craziness of the league this season that manager Mick McCarthy says he won’t relax until they are mathematically ensured of survival.
