Wednesday will have to wait on a fitness check on skipper Rob Jones for Tuesday’s home match with Walsall.
Jones tweaked his neck in the warm-up at Notts County but wanted to play. However, he aggravated the injury when he challenged for the ball in a Wednesday attack during the first half and was forced to go off, being replaced by Miguel Llera.
Dave Jones confirmed he will need to assess Jones’ fitness before the Walsall game as the Owls look to make it four wins in a row on Tuesday.
