Wednesday have this evening signed American defender Oguchi Onyewu until the end of the season.
Onyewu, 31, is currrently with Queens Park Rangers, having joined them in October of last year. He was previously with Portuguese club, Sporting CP, but his contract was cancelled by mutual consent last August, before QPR stepped in for the six foot five inch defender.
He has played 68 times for the United States and the majority of his club career has been at Standard Liege, Onyewu making 139 appearances for the Belgian club between 2004 and 2009.
