Wednesday lose for first time under boss Jones

Dave Jones lost for the first time as Wednesday boss with two goals from Glenn Murray giving Crystal Palace victory on Saturday.

Murray put Palace ahead inside the first minute but Michail Antonio levelled matters for Wednesday five minutes after the restart.

We then survived a penalty scare when the referee awarded a spot kick for a ‘foul’, only to reverse his decision after consulting his assistant. However, the incident seemed to spur on the home side and Murray sealed the points seven minutes from time to end the Owls’ unbeaten sequence.
