Wednesday hope to have two new signings in place for Saturday’s game with Leeds.
Milan Mandaric has confirmed that the club is looking for a defensive replacement for Roger Johnson, who has moved to West Ham following the end of his loan spell at Hillsborough, and the chairman said we are also hoping to bring in another striker.
With Connor Wickham’s latest loan spell due to expire at the end of the month, along with the striker being linked with a move to Forest, we could find ourselves woefully short of firepower in the coming weeks if we don’t bring in a fresh attacking option or two.
