Dave JonesWednesday head to Leyton Orient on Saturday knowing that victory would put us second in the division one table.

With Sheff U not playing until next Wednesday, three points at Brisbane Road would take us one clear of our city rivals, with their game in hand at home to Chesterfield to follow in midweek.

Wedneday have sold more than 2,200 tickets for the trip to London, with just over 500 remaining and we will be looking to bounce back with three points after the disappointment of being held at home to struggling Walsall on Tuesday evening.

Jermaine Johnson made an early return to the squad against Walsall and came on as a second-half sub while Reda Johnson could be in contention for a recall after injury, for the Orient clash.

Meanwhile Dave Jones is looking to bring in some new blood to the squad before the loan deadline of 5pm on Thursday.

Crystal Palace have revealed they turned down an aproach from us to take their striker Sean Scannell on loan and Jones said he made between 30 and 40 approaches for players prior to the Walsall game.
