Wednesday will wait on fitness updates on Adam Reach and Joost van Aken ahead of Tuesday’s home game with Middlesbrough.
Both players were subbed during the second half of Saturday’s draw at Blackburn, Reach suffering a hamstring injury and van Aken tweaking a groin problem suffered in training on Thursday.
Hopes of Massimo Luongo returning to the midfield in the near future after his knee problem look unlikely, with Tony Pulis explaining: “He has had an operation and his knee has not responded as well as we thought it would and he needs to build up that leg, the thigh, hamstring and everything else.
“I think he still feels a little bit one sided in respect of both legs so he has to do that, otherwise he will break down. That takes a period of time. It doesn’t happen overnight.”
