Wallace bids fond farewell to S6

Ross Wallace has said farewell to Wednesday – and the fans – with a message on social media.

Wallace, who joined us on a free transfer from Burnley nearly three years ago, posted on Instagram today: ‘Massive thank you for your support since I’ve arrived. I’ve loved every minute of being at this amazing club and wish the fans and the players the very best of luck in the future’.

Wallace scored goals in both legs of the victorious play-off semi final with Brighton in 2016.

He was a regular in the first team squad for his first two seasons at S6 and another of his highlights came when he netted a long-range effort for the opening goal in our 3-0 League Cup win over Arsenal in October 2015.

A knee injury sustained at Millwall in February ruled out the 32-year-old winger for the rest of the season and now comes the news that he is departing S6, with more changes likely over the summer.
