Wait goes on over new manager at Hillsborough

The wait goes on to see if Stuart Gray is appointed the next manager at Wednesday.

Caretaker boss Gray said after Saturday’s FA Cup draw at Macclesfield that he would be sitting down with chairman Milan Mandaric today to decide his future at Hillsborough.

However, Mandaric is apparently away on football business and, while he is reported to have spoken with Gray today, there is still no news of a permanent replacement for Dave Jones.

Meanwhile, keeper Chris Kirkland has given his support for Gray to get the job on  a full-time basis, talking about how he has instilled a real team spirit at S6 and that he has the respect of the players.
