Wednesday’s under-18s suffered FA Youth Cup heartbreak on Thursday evening … going out on penalties to rivals Leeds in our fourth round clash at Tadcaster.
Charles Hagan put us one-up after 46 minutes but Leeds equalised to take the tie into extra time. The home side then went ahead but Basile Zottos levelled for Wednesday just before the end of the first period.
With no further goals, the game went to penalties and it was Leeds who won through 5-4 on spot kicks.
