Trio ready to return for yet another six-pointer

Blackburn Rovers

Wednesday will be hoping to welcome back three players for yet another relegation clash at S6 on Saturday … this time against a Blackburn side who have plummeted towards the drop after a shocking run of form.

Loanees Stuart Holden and Seyi Olofinjana both failed fitness tests for the Bristol game on Monday while Lewis Buxton was serving a one-match ban. However, Dave Jones is confident that Holden and Olofinjana will be fit to resume in midfield while Buxton is likely to return at right back.

Up front, Jones has Gary Madine, Leroy Lita, Chris Maguire and Steve Howard to choose from while Jermaine Johnson should be fit to join the squad after being substituted early in the second half at Bristol.

With three tough away games to follow, the quest for three points on Saturday becomes all the more important against a Blackburn side who have not won in nine matches and who sit two places above us on 47 points, but with only goal difference separating the two teams.
