Reda Johnson, Lewis Buxton and Joe Mattock are all ruled out of Saturday’s first home league game of the season against Burnley.
Johnson continues to recover from tendonitis and Buxton is still suffering from shin splints, while Mattock is ruled out for 2-3 weeks with the knee injury sustained at Loftus Road on the opening day of the season.
Dave Jones is looking for a much improved performance from Wednesday after Tuesday night’s poor display at Rotherham, saying: “We expect a response this weekend and to be at full pelt.
“We have to give the supporters a performance – they have been superb in the first two games away from home.”
