Three late goals sink u-18s after 2-0 lead

Wednesday’s under-18s crashed out of the FA Youth Cup to Stoke at Hillsborough on Thursday evening … leading 2-0 late on and then conceding three goals inside four minutes to end our interest in this season’s competition.

Goals in each half from Eyad Hammoud and Lewis Farmer looked to have put the youngsters in charge and then Conor Grant almost made it three when his effort hit the bar.

However, all the good work was undone as Stoke staged that amazing late rally to score three times between the 79th and 83rd minutes and so go through to the fourth round.
