Three-goal Wednesday end winless run

Three second-half goals saw Wednesday end our winless sequence in a 3-1 win at Millwall tonight.

Such a victory looked unlikely in the opening exchanges, with the home side spurning early chances before Wednesday began to find their feet and then taking charge after the break.

Lewis McGugan sidefooted us in front from 12 yards on 52 minutes, Atdhe Nuhiu combined with Jacques Maghoma 20 mnutes later before stroking the ball home from close range and then Maghoma sent sub Stevie May clear to fire a third goal eight minutes from time to seal the points.

Millwall pulled a goal back in injury time through Diego Fabbrini but that was as good as it got for the home side while the 1001 Wednesday fans were in celebratory mood after a first win in eight games that lifts us up to 11th spot.
