Wednesday await a condition update on young defender Jordan Thorniley after he was stretchered off at Millwall and taken to hospital with what appeared to be a serious facial injury.
Thorniley looked to be accidentally caught by the boot of Millwall’s Jed Wallace in the build-up to the Lions’ winning goal.
The game was held up for several minutes while medical staff attended to the Owls player, who was thought to have initially been unconscious, and he then went straight to hospital with the club doctor.
