Dave Jones took the opportunity to praise the team spirit at S6 after seeing the Owls make it 12 league games with just one defeat in the single goal win against Palace.
Jones said: “The players are a really good group – they now have a real determined look about them and some real belief.”
Reflecting on the Palace triumph, the manager praised goalscorer Leroy Lita for taking his chance late on and added: “I thought David Prutton and Giles Coke were outstanding in the midfield and behind them the defence was solid – I don’t remember Chris Kirkland having a great deal to do.”
