Jose Semedo could be out of action until after Christmas as Wednesday prepare for ‘six-pointers’ against fellow strugglers Bristol City and Barnsley.
Semedo suffered a badly gashed knee in training before Sunday’s defeat at Cardiff and reports indicate that he may be sidelined until the end of the year.
Jay Bothroyd is also expected to be out for at least a fortnight with an ankle problem picked up in the Watford game while fellow loanee striker, Mamady Sidibe, is hoping to be fit to face Bristol City at Hilsborough on Saturday after limping off at Cardiff with a hamstring injury.
