Sam set for New Year return to action

Sam Hutchinson should be back in contention for a first team place early in the New Year after his two-month lay-off.

The midfielder has been out of action since damaging a knee against Watford in October. This meant an operation but he has now been given the all-clear to resume full training and Stuart Gray reckons Hutchinson is about three weeks away from being ready for competitive action.

Also on the injury front, Giles Cokes is still struggling with his achilles injury while Kamil Zayatte (hamstring) and Lewis Buxton (knee) are expected to resume training towards the end of next week.
