Jordan Rhodes will go straight into the Wednesday squad for Friday night’s test at Wigan.
Carlos Carvalhal has confirmed that the striker will definitely be in the 18 for our second away game in four days, as Wednesday look to regain our play-off spot.
It’s another game against a struggling side and Carvalhal will be keen to see Wednesday get back to winning ways after taking just one point from the last two matches, especially with most of our rivals picking up victories in recent days and Derby having replaced us in that final play-off position after our midweek draw and their success at Ipswich.
Steven Fletcher and Sam Hutchinson will again be missing through suspension while Carvalhal said there were also one or two players with slight injuries after the draw at Bristol and he will make a final decision on them tomorrow.
Gary Hooper is again doubtful after picking up a knock in his comeback game for the academy side earlier this month.
