Wednesday wait on the fitness of Reda Johnson before naming the side to face Oldham at Hillsborough on Monday lunchtime.
Johnson limped off early in the win at Huddersfield on Saturday, after pulling up with a thigh injury.
Reports suggest that the injury might not be as serious as first thought but Julian Bennett or Mark Beevers – who replaced Johnson at Huddersfield – are on standby to step in for the game, which is live on Sky, kick off 12.45pm.
Skipper Rob Jones serves the second game of a two-match ban. Reda aside, Dave Jones could name an otherwise unchanged side but may be tempted to rest young loanee Michail Antonio who looked tired at Huddersfield.
Victory would again take Wednesday back into second place, with Sheff U at Rochdale on Tuesday evening, while leaders Charlton entertain Walsall on Monday.
