Reda Johnson is back in full training and could be ready to push for a recall to the starting line-up for Saturday’s trip to Notts County.
Johnson, who was enjoyng an impressive spell at left back under Gary Megson, came back from playing for Benin last month with a hamstring injury and so has not figured in Dave Jones’ plans since he was appointed manager – missing the games against Rochdale, Bury and Bournemouth.
Julian Bennett has deputised at left back and, if Johnson proves his fitness in the coming days, then Jones will have to decide whether to keep with a winning team and play Bennett or reintroduce Johnson on the left-hand side.
