Pudil bids a fond farewell to Wednesday

Daniel Pudil has announced he is leaving Wednesday at the end of the season and has said a heartfelt goodbye on his Facebook page.

Pudil, who is out-of-contract at the end of the season, has been a popular player with the fans since joining us from Watford four years ago, initially on a year-long loan.

He was an important member of the ‘play-off squads’ under Carlos Carvalhal and has made 113 appearances for us, playing 11 first team games this season.

Writing on Facebook, Pudil, 33, says:So I’d like to thank all my teammates, managers, employees and fans, that I had a chance to meet during my four years at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

I was honest to wear this beautiful shirt every time I stepped on football pitch and I’m really glad I m part of this family! I’ll never forget it!

But it’s time to say goodbye, but I m sure I’ll be near by Sheffield, so I ll see you in the city or at the stadium sometime.

I want to wish you all the best in the future to end where you belong and that’s Premier League! This massive club deserves to be there and you all Sheffield Wednesday fans as well!!!

Thanks, Daniel. You have given everything to the club in every game you have played for us and the London Owls wish you and your family every future success and happiness.
