Wednesday have confirmed that Sam Hutchinson will miss two games and Steven Fletcher three matches following the pair’s red cards at Brighton on Friday night.
Hutchinson’s two yellow cards at the Amex would normally have meant a one-game ban but the suspension was doubled as it is a second red card this season, following his dismissal against Bristol City.
Fletcher’s lengthier lay-off comes as it was a straight red card. It means both players are ruled out of the trips to Bristol City on January 30 and Wigan on February 3. Fletcher also misses the home game with Birmingham on February 10.
