Pair set to return for Huddersfield game

Keiren Westwood and Sam Hutchinson are ready to return for Saturday’s Hillsborough clash with fellow promotion contenders Huddersfield.

Both players were rested for last weekend’s FA Cup defeat at Middlesbrough and will be expected to be in the starting line-up against the Terriers.

Almen Abdi continues to be ruled out with a dead leg but David Jones is back in training after taking a knock at Boro.

Gary Hooper picked up a slight injury after scoring twice in his return for the under-23s against Barnsley in midweek. He is expected to be back in full training on Friday and could be in the squad for the Huddersfield game, along with recent signing Morgan Fox.

Huddersfield go into the game in fourth spot, four points and two places ahead of Wednesday, and after Reading’s home defeat to QPR on Thursday evening they know that a draw or win at Hillsborough would take them into third place.
