Wednesday wait for fitness checks on Lucas Joao and Josh Onomah ahead of Saturday’s trip to another of the Championship promotion-chasing sides in West Brom.
Both players were subbed through injury during the win at top six Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and will have tests on Thursday to see the extent of the problems.
Joao lasted just 14 minutes at the Riverside Stadium before falling to the ground after passing the ball and being replaced by Onomah. The Spurs loanee then suffered an injury midway through the second half and was substituted, with George Boyd coming on.
