Owls up to seventh after more away day joy

Wednesday moved up to seventh in the Championship tonight after our 2-0 win at Birmingham, which also signalled the Owls third away victory in four league trips.

Indeed, only a late winner from Reading – who come to Hillsborough on Saturday – prevented the Owls from moving into the play-off places. We now find ourselves with 12 points from seven matches, with Norwich top on 16 points after their 3-0 win at Brentford.

Excellent finishes from Stevie May and substitute Jeremy Helan inside the last 25 minutes – and in front of the 1600 Wednesdayites – sealed the points and now attention turns to the Reading clash as we look to register our first home league win of the season.
