Carlos Carvalhal says he will field a strong side for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup first round tie with neighbours Chesterfield at Hillsborough.
After Saturday’s punchless display at Preston, Carvalhal is expected to play more regular first-teamers than he might have initially planned and said: “We will put a strong team to play absolutely sure, it will be a strong team from Sheffield Wednesday.
“We will go with our first team and take the game very seriously.”
