Wednesday have signed Paul Jones as a back-up keeper on a free transfer.
With Keiren Westwood suspended for one game and Joe Wildsmith sidelined with a knee injury, that left Cameron Dawson as the only senior keeper available for Saturday’s home game with Barnsley.
However, Lee Bullen has acted by signing the experienced Jones and he is expected to be on the bench for the Barnsley derby.
Jones, 33, has played for Leyton Orient, Exeter, Peterborough, Crawley, Portsmouth, Norwich and, most recently, Fleetwood.
