Good news for the Northants Owls (and others!) … a Wednesday side will be playing at Corby Town in a pre-season friendly.
The match has been confirmed for Friday, August 3, kick off 7pm, and is billed as Corby v Sheffield Wednesday X1. Given that the new Championship season begins on the same weekend, we will clearly be fielding a young side.
There is a link between the two clubs in that teenage forward Jordan O’ Brien signed for Wednesday from the Steelmen midway through last season.
