Owls set to make changes for cup replay

Darren Moore is expected to shuffle the Wednesday pack for tomorrow night’s FA Cup first round replay at Plymouth.

Despite wanting to progress in the competition, Moore will have one eye on our upcoming three league games in a week, starting with Saturday’s trip to Accrington, and he will be tempted to rest Chey Dunkley and Barry Bannan, along with others, for the Home Park tie.

Ciaran Brennan, Jaden Brown, Massimo Luongo, Saido Berahino and Sylla Sow could all step up from last Saturday’s bench to the starting line-up. Joe Wildsmith will continue in goal with Bailey Peacock-Farrell having played for Northern Ireland tonight in their 0-0 draw with Italy.

The winners of the Plymouth tie will be away to either Rochdale or Notts County in a televised second round match on Sunday December 5, the pair also replaying tomorrow evening.

* Wednesday’s Papa John’s Trophy second round tie at home to Hartlepool will be played on Wednesday, December 1, kick off 7pm.
