Wednesday’s hopes of signing former loanee Matty Fryatt have finally ended with the Hull striker signing a three-year deal with Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.
Fryatt scored four goals in nine games on loan at Hillsborough last season and, with the player out of contract at the KC Stadium at the end of the campaign, Wednesday were one of several clubs expressing an interest in Fryatt before Forest stepped in today to seal a deal at the City Ground.
