Owls dominate but have to settle for point

Wednesday were left to reflect on what should have been a victory after a goalless draw at struggling Bolton today.

Stevie May looked to have put us in front in the first-half, only for Atdhe Nuhiu to be penalised for a foul in the build-up, and Chris Maguire saw an effort cleared off the line when he might have done better.

It was a similar story after the break, with Joe Mattock missing a great chance with a header and, as Wednesday continued to dominate a poor Bolton outfit, we were left to rue other missed opportunities, the best one falling to Nuhiu.

The home side were hanging on for a point in the final minutes with Tom Lees having a header blocked on the line and the Owls, along with 3000-plus Wednesdayites, were left disappointed that we had to settle for a point when it could – and should – have been three.
