Gary Megson hailed his team – and the near 4000 fans – after Wednesday’s weekend win at Oldham.
Megson said: “This is a really tough place to come to, a lot of teams will come here and leave with nothing so I am really pleased to get this win.”
Talking of Saturday’s support he said: “Our players are fortunate to play in front of what are undoubtedly the best fans in the country.”
And Megson praised how knowledgable the fans are – citing the support for striker Chris O’Grady who, while not getting on the scoresheet at Oldham, had an excellent game up front.
