Josh Onomah is back training with Wednesday after suffering a hamstring problem at Ipswich last month.
Steve Bruce says he hopes the Tottenham loanee could be pushing to get back into the squad for the trip to Stoke at the end of the month.
Bruce is also looking for Fernando Forestieri to be ready for consideration for the Stoke game after his latest hamstring setback while Lucas Joao has had an injection to treat his knee injury following fears that he might be out for the season and the club waits to see if this cures the problem
Meanwhile, Joost van Aken is thought to be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after reportedly having had surgery on his ankle injury.
