O’Grady and JJ strike as Owls move back to joint second

Two goals from Chris O’Grady and another Jermaine Johnson solo effort inside the first 48 minutes saw Wednesday to a 3-1 win at Scunthorpe on Tuesday evening.

And victory takes us back to joint second place in the promotion chase.

O’Grady scored after 47 seconds and 18 minutes and JJ struck his second goal in two games soon after half time.

The home side pulled a goal back through Robertson on 55 minutes and we rode our luck on one or two occasions as Scunny rallied.

At the other end, Johnson caused havoc with another solo effort but let himself down with the finish.

Wednesday lost the recalled Daniel Jones early on with a leg injury.
