Atdhe Nuhiu says he is looking forward to proving himself again next season after signing a new two-year contract at Hillsborough.
The striker enjoyed a resurgence in form under new boss Jos Luhukay after being almost frozen out by Carlos Carvalhal.
Such was his impressive displays that Luhukay was keen to get the giant Kosovan signed up as quickly as possible after the end of the season.
Now the deal has been sealed, Nuhiu said: “ I am up for it, I have shown everyone I can do it and I will do it again.”
Looking at Wednesday’s prospects for next season, Nuhiu said: “The expectations are there and it should be like that.
”We need to have a good pre-season, work hard for each other and start the season bright, fresh and with a lot of enthusiasm and passion.”
