Gary Madine is unlikely to go out on loan this season after having talks with boss Dave Jones yesterday.
Jones said that the young striker had approached him about the possibility of having a loan spell elsewhere to gain first team action.
The manager said: “Gary felt it might be right for him to go out on loan for a month. However, we felt he would be better off staying here and he is a vital part of the set-up.”
Madine has failed to command a regular place in the side this season and the arrival of loanee strikers Leroy Lita and Connor Wickham will have heightened his thoughts of gaining game time away from S6.
