New loan signing Callum McManaman is eligible to start his playing career at Wednesday in front of a bumper Hillsborough crowd against Wolves on January 2.
The 25-year-old midfielder joins us from West Brom on the opening of the January transfer window and has signed in a loan deal until the end of the season. McManaman, who can play on either flank, signed for the Baggies in a reported £4.75m move from Wigan in January 2015.
His first game for Wednesday, either in the starting line-up or as a substitute, could be in our 2017 opener against Wolves, with Wednesday already having sold out our 33,000 allocation.
