New signing David Jones could go straight into the Wednesday squad for Saturday’s lunchtime Yorkshire derby at home to Leeds.
Midfielder Jones, 31, joins us from Premier League Burnley for an undisclosed fee and will wear shirt number 3.
Jones has played for four clubs in the Premier League – Derby, Wolves, Wigan and Burnley – and made 41 appearances for the Clarets last season in their march to the Championship title.
