Wednesday strike pair of Steven Fletcher and Atdhe Nuhiu were both in Nations League action on Tuesday evening as their countries – Scotland and Kosovo – gained promotion in the final group matches.
Fletcher played 86 minutes, his headed flick-on paving the way for Scotland’s second goal as they won 3-2 at home to Israel to finish top of League C Group 1, so gaining promotion to League B and guaranteeing a play-off place in Euro 2020.
Nuhiu came on as a substitute for the last 20 minutes as Kosovo defeated Azerbaijan 4-0 to head League D Group 3 and so winning promotion to Group C for the next Nations League competition.
