Problems mount for Jones after fifth successive defeat

Dave Jones is still searching for an end to Wednesday’s woeful run after seeing the Owls suffer a fifth successive league defeat.

A 43rd minute free kick from Sako, after an unnecessary foul by Jermaine Johnson and then a poor defensive wall, was all that separated the sides at Wolves on Saturday – but Wednesday rarely looked like troubling the home team.

We looked unfortunate not to have an early penalty when Michail Antonio appeared to be brought down in the box but, that aside, we were a team totally lacking in confidence, drive or teamwork.

Wolves, without greatly troubling Chris Kirkland, always looked in control and left Owls boss Jones with growing concerns as we prepare for the trip to Burnley on Tuesday night.
